- HELP!

Unlike the inspirational album from The Beatles, this blog is actually in need of help.

Hi, I'm Verbatim, Amyr's blog. As you can see, he is totally out of inspiration for writing here. I've been talking to him about it and he said that he doesn't know exactly what happened, but he just sort of lost the spark for posting. He loves me, his blog, and doesn't want me to die. However, he needs to find his inspiration again to continue producing original and interesting articles.

Please help my life by leaving some tips or just a positive message for Amyr on the commentary box. Thanks for helping.

- TRIP DIARY

Absolutely Fantastic! That how I can express my feelings in words at this moment in time. I've been travelling around the Midlands and South of England this past week, and have visited some very cool places that are definitely worth going to again. So let me start off with the diary.

-Black Country Museum

The Black Country Living Museum tells the story of a fascinating part of history and a proud part of England. Exhibitions are happening everywhere, since it is a LIVING museum. There is a village, a mine, a post office, a pub, and everything else you would expect from an industrial English village in the peak of steal, coal and iron production in the industrial revolution period.

This place was really, really cool. Like I said, things are going on in this museum-village as they would back then. The same clothes, manners, candy, beer, work, etc. It is a place that has been made to work as if it had stopped in time.

This region of England is called the Black Country because, as an American diplomat put it, it was ''black by day, and red by night''. By that he meant that the region was constantly covered in thick black smoke, because of the steal, iron and coal industry. By night, the it was red because of the glow of the big industrial chimneys burning fuel non-stop. It stands in the Midlands, near Birmingham and was the industrial force of the British Empire.

The people from this region are very proud. Interestigly,  Robert Plant, from Led Zeppelin, is born in the Black Country region (West Bromwich, I think). The people's accent is pretty cool as well.

All in all, this place really put me thinking. It is unbelievable the amount of mineral we have used for years and years, without replacing anything back to Earth. It is really mind blowing to think and see how it was back then. Well, long live the Black Country!!!

(Sorry, no pics. Comment if you would like me to post some during the week.)

- GO BOY, GO!!!

Alright... it is time to say good bye!!! No, I'm not gonna bloody close the blog. Actually, what I'm going to do is synonymous of updates. My trip around Southern England is starting August 8th. I should be going around some lovely places so some decent pics should be posted here next time.

- LONDON CALLING

There has been alot of comments asking for... comments... on the London terrorist situation, since I'm around here.

Well, I don't really feel like commenting on that. Like, you've probably seen it all on the news anyway, as distorted as your TV's decency goes.

And plus, my views are a bit to political for a ''coffee shop talk'' anyway. But... who says I can resist:

Well... I will!!!

Instead of that, lets talk about nice things.

... and finally:

I've been reading Lolita, by Vladimir Nabokov. It is a really, really well written book. I mean, wow! English is this guy's second language, but still he can work marvellously with it. Ok, the story is a bit dodgy, but nonetheless it is interesting to see a sick mind working, especially with such vividly detailed descriptions.

One word to summarize it: Inspiring!

And I shall hopefully be writing like that soon. Probably even around here. Cheers!
